Max Boyce’s club is a picturesque course overlooking the Vale of Neath and the Brecon Beacons National ParkC. The course is described as a mix of parkland and woodland, so large mature trees are a very prominent feature on most holes. This hilltop course started as a 9 hole and is now an 18 hole course at par 71, measuring in at just under 6,100 yards.

Glyn Neath Golf Club is location within the Brecon Beacons National Park and provides some impressive views of the surrounding mountains and vales. Although this suggests a hilly nature, the course is in fact reasonably flat with some moderate undulations contained within.

Much-loved Welsh comic Boyce is the club president and every two or three years he hosts the pro-am celebrity Max Boyce Classic, attracting names from the world of sport and entertainment.

Four new holes have been introduced recently to spruce up the course, adding 500 yards. The four old holes being added to a Junior Academy Development Course. There are entertaining large fish to greet players on the 16th tee, in one of several small lakes.

The clubhouse boats three bars, a large function room and upstairs seated area. It is renowned for its warm and friendly atmosphere – an ideal place to sit back and relax whilst you enjoy something to eat or drink and discuss the day’s memorable moments on the golf course.

The upstairs bar is uniquely positioned on top of the 10th tee area, and is only a few yards away from the the 9th and 18th greens. It provides a great location to watch all the on course action.

Glynneath Golf Club is easily accessible from our holiday cottages and is a great course to play if you are coming on a golfing holiday to Wales.
