Claypits Pottery

Claypits Pottery is at the edge of the village of Ewenny across the road from the Ewenny Craft Centre.

Based in a purpose built Pottery, first established on the site in the 1700s. The Edger family have produced ceramics, pottery and jewellery here since the early 1970’s. Leonard Edger specialises in individual ceramic pieces including wall panels, contemporary sculptures and bowls, using his own methods of production. There is a workshop and gallery where a range of ceramics and hand made jewellery products are on display.

The Edger Family also own the Contemporary Jeweller shop situated on the Old Bridge in Bridgend town Centre, where a range of jewellery is on display.

The Contemporary Jeweller is located on the Old Bridge in the centre of Bridgend and contains displays of contemporary jewellery created from precious metals and semi-precious and precious stones, including diamonds. These are produced by hand by the Edger Family of Ewenny. Commissions are undertaken for individual pieces.

Claypits Pottery owner Leonard Edger keeps an interesting blog where you’ll find pictures of all his latest works, workshop and kiln pictures, pieces of sale and contact details.
