“One of South Wales’ finest”

At 6,441 yards, and par 71, The Gower Golf Club only opened in 1995, by founders John and Olwen Richards and their son Adrian. Prior to this date it was a successful dairy farm producing pedigree dairy cows. The Richards name was synonymous with achievement in the farming community.

The club is set in 150 acres of rolling countryside on the fringe of the Gower Peninsular, Britain’s first designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Facilities include an A La Carte restaurant.

One of the finest parkland courses in South Wales, Gower Golf Club was designed by Donald Steel, the former Cambridge golfing blue and English international.

Steel used all his expertise and experience to sculpt the 18 hole course using the best of the landscape to form a natural-looking course to test golfing skills. There are various contours, trees and hazards to avoid throughout your round.

Donald Steel stands among the very best in European golf design. So much so that 4 of his courses have hosted European Tour Events in the last couple of years. These being Forest of Arden, Vila Sol, Barseback, & Gardagolf (Italy) Among his latest projects is the new “Carnegie Links” course at Skibo Castle.

Gower Golf Club is located just 10 minutes from the M4.
