Visitors to Bwthyn Y Saer walking holiday cottage are free to roam over 120 acres of farmland which includes hillside walks with panoramic views of the Swansea valley  and an area of award winning oak woodland through which the River Clydach runs.

The Vale of Neath "Waterfall Country"

Bwthyn Y Saer holiday cottage is ideally situated for a walking holiday in the Vale of Neath. The Vale of Neath is well known for its range of fabulous waterfalls, nine in total, set in a stunning vista of mountains and vales. "Waterfall Country", as this area is known, has long been an inspiration to many artists including Turner, who travelled here to paint, Aberdulais Falls, a site now in the ownership of the National Trust.

Brecon Beacons National Park

Other waterfalls are located near the Brecon Beacons, a 500 sq mile National Park and a paradise for walkers and nature lovers.

Afan Argoed    Country Park

The Afan Valley, a narrow forested valley known locally as "Little Switzerland", includes Afan Argoed Country Park which has way marked footpath and nature trails for those who enjoy walking holidays.

The Gower Peninsula

The Gower Peninsula was the first designated Area of Outstanding Beauty in the UK, with stunning scenery and unspoilt Blue Flag beaches which are a delight to swimmers, surfers and sunbathers alike.
