The Stable is where you will find peace, comfort and tranquility. This immaculately kept five star self catering cottage is situated on a picturesque farm in the middle of South Wales. It’s superb central location means that many of the must-see sights and attractions of South Wales on the doorstep.
Not that that matters to many guests who choose to simply sit back and relax in their own private piece of the Welsh countryside – there’s over a hundred acres of it to explore. You could read a book on the riverbank lawn – a glass of wine and the sounds of nature for company. Or you could put on your walking shoes and explore the hidden corners of this exceptionally beautiful farm. Many like to sit on the courtyard lawn beneath the canopy of the beach tree, listening to the birdsong and watching the animals graze the parkland that surrounds the cottage.
The cottage is finished to a very high standard. The farmhouse style kitchen is well equipped and leads into a cosy lounge with wood burning stove, large HDTV, DVD player and Freesat TV. The lounge opens out onto an enclosed riverbank garden with a hot tub, outdoor furniture and views of the babbling brook. Guests are also free to dine and relax on the courtyard lawn which has views over the surrounding farmland.
The cottage is perfect for a romantic getaway or family holiday. There’s plenty of room for little ones to play – kicking a ball or flying a kite.
The light and airy bedrooms have great views of the surrounding countryside. Romantics will love the four poster bed and exposed beams in the master bedroom which was once an office for the lord of the manor. The twin bedroom was accommodation for the stable boys and the horses lived beneath.
The cottage has an upstairs bathroom with an above bath power shower and a downstairs WC.
A full basket of logs are provided and all heating, electricity, linen, towels and broadband internet are included in the price. The cottage has a Gold award under the green tourism business scheme. Welsh themed artwork is featured throughout the cottage.
