in July of each year, at Llanelwedd, near Builth Wells in mid-Wales.
The show lasts for four days and attracts more than 200,000 visitors

Agriculture in Wales SOUTH WALES TRAVEL
GUIDE
Welcome to our Welsh farming
news pages. Approximately 80% of the land in Wales in used for agriculture.
The Welsh countryside is grassy and hilly making Wales more suited
to livestock farming than crop cultivation. The country is famous
for its sheep, of which there are more than 10 million, outnumbering
people by more than three to one. Cattle farming for beef and dairy
products is also common. About 13% of the land is covered by forestry
and woodland. Wales's fishing industry is concentrated mainly along
the Bristol Channel. Agriculture, forestry and fishing only contributes
to 1.5 % of the economy.
Our self catering holiday cottages are situated on Plas Farm, a
mixed sheep and beef cattle farm of 120 acres. There are also areas
of forestry and woodland on the farm.
