Luxury Self-Catering Accommodation

• Luxury self catering accommodation.

• Renovated in 2002.

• Originally an estate stable and coachhouse with the loft being used as a dove cote and an animal food store.

• Sleeps 4 comfortably with one double room and one twin room.

The Lounge

• Traditional Welsh furniture includes a Welsh dresser, a corner cupboard and an old gramophone (don't worry - there is also CD player!).

• Woodburning stove with complimentary basket of seasoned firewood.

• Large comfortable three seat sofa and two armchairs

• Colour TV and video with a large collection of videos for your enjoyment including many classic feature films.

• Radio/CD player so that you can sit back in front of  a roaring fire, listening to Dylan Thomas reading some of his greatest works. 

• Old style ledge and brace double doors, decorated by locally made stained glass depicting the swallows that once nested in the building (they have now relocated to the cowshed!).

• Local interest pictures on wall.

• A large collection of Wales related books from general guides to local history to works of fiction by famous Welsh authors such as Dylan Thomas.
• Walking holiday folder including OS maps, suggested routes, ramblers association walks and our very own farm trail with accompanying information.
• Comprehensive collection of leaflets giving information on the large number of high quality attractions in South Wales. 

The central location of the holiday cottage makes it an ideal base from which to tour South Wales.  There is a wealth of things to see - the Gower Peninsula Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Brecon Beacons National Park, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, spectacular castles, the cities of Swansea and Cardiff and much more.

The Kitchen - Diner

The well equipped kitchen includes:

• Large traditional porcelain sink

• Microwave

• Washing machine / dryer combination

• Oven and hob, fridge, toaster, kettle etc.

• Ample storage

• Iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner

• The cottage is centrally heated and may be controlled by a thermostat on the boiler in the kitchen. 

The dining area has separate lighting and consists of an old oak dining table with chairs and an old church pew.

The Bedrooms and Bathroom

The bedrooms are furnished with traditional Welsh farmhouse furniture.  All bed linen and towels are provided free of charge.  A cot and high chair are available on request.

The bathroom is well equipped with a bath, a Mira 415 over-bath power shower and a shaver point.

• Patio area with an oak bench - ideal for a Summer evening watching the lambs playing in the surrounding fields and the swallows swooping over the farm.  A barbeque is available on request.
