“When we told our family and friends that we were headed to Wales in February of our own volition, they looked at us as if we were mad. Well, what do they know about it? We’ve had an absolutely perfect stay here. The weather’s been lovely – not too cold, not too damp. We had a great time wandering around the local hills with the help of the Trail book (although we never did find the cairns!) We made several day trips...Swansea, Neath, Cardiff all in very easy reach from here. But most of all we enjoyed coming home to the cottage. It’s a lovely, warm, cosy retreat - we love all of it, from the woodstoves to the all too comfortable bends to the gorgeous bath tub. “First time we have stayed in Wales in a cottage rather than friends or hotel. No more hotels for us. Been really great. Lovely time. Very relaxing. We also went to a relatives wedding in Craig-y-nos castle (and did not rain, good for photos). Stayed the wedding night there but did not see any ‘ghosts’. Also at the cottage used the log fire twice. Coming from Singapore (temp 24oC to 33oC) was a first. “It’s all been said already! Comfortable accommodation and a pleasant location! What about this bad weather though! Late Sep and only one indifferent day.
