22 June to 6 July
"A friendly warm cottage and well planned out for all self catering needs. The friendly welcome on arrival from the Bowen family and Holly remained throughout the lovely 2 weeks spent in such delightful and peaceful surroundings in which to tour and explore. We also appreciated all consideration and without any disruption from the neighboring farmer. Refreshing and good to see the long awaited normality returning to the farming area. The Dylan Thomas poster (displayed in the hallway) with his reminiscence of his past is conveyed to all and 'speaks' for itself for lovers of the countryside. We hope to return again to enjoy" Frank and Betty from Shropshire

6 July to 13 July
"So we end our weeks contraction,
Where everything gave satisfaction,
We knew for certain, it was no illusion,
The cottage's quiet and seclusion,
These are the memories we'll take away,
Of Gower, Oxwich and Rhossili Bay,
Of surging falls on foam flecked river,
Of mountain moorland where shorn-sheep shiver,
O f castle ruins in sudden rain -
We forgive you Wales - we'll come again!"
by Cynthia and Ernest from Portsmouth

"We came to spend some time walking and relaxing, and although we don't live very far we found the countryside of the Vale of Neath was far more beautiful than we had realised. The cottage was a perfect base and the maps, walks, tourist information and Richard's book were very much appreciated. The selection of books, videos and games was excellent and Huw especially enjoyed them. The blackberries were a bonus, we have been eating them all week and we have some to take home to save for Christmas Day. We will think of you when we are eating our blackberry and apple tart, no doubt wishing we were at Bwthyn Y Saer and we are looking forward to returning next year. All our best wishes and thanks" The Poulsoms of Pontypool, South Wales
