“Temple of Doom”

Set in a tranquil rural area, Morriston club is a tidy parkland course on the outskirts of Swansea just a mile from the M4 motorway. It is a long course at 6,050 yards – but it doesn’t mean a casual waltz to a decent score. Morriston has its fair share of tough examinations, including some rather tight tee shots with little or no room to manoeuvre the ball. Some of the approach shots, can be quite tricky and the relatively small greens will leave you scratching your head. The par 3 15th is one of the most challenging short holes in Wales and the par 4 7th is aptly named “Temple of Doom” because so many scorecards have been ripped up after playing it.

A newly built indoor practice area is new for 2006 and is one of the only facilities of its kind in Swansea. Two members bays that have been fully netted and that is fully covered to protect you from the elements. Fully lit, members and visitors can practice in bad weather conditions, or until late in dark winter nights, and a floodlight on the short game area allows golfers to cram in those extra couple of hours of practice. This coaching area is used and equipped with the state of the art coaching and swing analysis software, with multiple camera options and our professional offers coaching experience that includes a 45 minute session with video analysis and comparisons of your swing to those of top tour professionals.
